the changeling by bubug the changeling by bubug
"It is possible that late in that night, as the huntsman sat at his bench at the inn with his cup and his plate, with the glow of the fire and the shouting men around him, he drank too much and told his stolid companions that while hunting he had stepped into the path of the elven, bespeared Queen of the Wood, beautiful and terrible as a warship with her red hair like a cape around her, and that she had, in her great mercy, let him go."

"Into the Wood" by Walter Gilman,
based on "A Song of Ice and Fire" by GRRM

Thank you :)

As for Walter, sorry, but I have no idea. Hopefully, he will. I would have give anything to see a new chapter for Into the Wood...

Your art is pretty awesome! Would you let me feature it on my FB fan page? I am trying to showcase talents from the internet from all over the world, and I am also interviewing and uploading pictures of cosplayers and models (some of them, pretty popular worldwide). Check out the page!

And of course, I would credit you and would provide the link for your DA profile :D

I love your attention to detail!
The scales, the bite, the way the hanging branch looks like a crown of sorts …
And the colour scheme is absolutely beautiful.

Beautiful illustration for a beautiful excerpt of the fanfic! The description of Sansa as 'Queen of the Wood beautiful and terrible as a warship with her red hair like a cape around her'- wonderful!

Oh gosh I have been waiting for this ever since you hinted it was coming. I don't even know where to begin.... this is one of my favorite moments from WG's story and you've captured it beautifully.

I love how the branches dip down to form a wild crown on the top of her head.

*love*

Och, this passage... How deliciously chilling is that, that the most fantastic element of the huntsman's fairytale vision - that this little creature could harm him - was actually the most realistic. Because at that moment she truly spared his life; her guard was in the vicinity, one louder shout of hers would be propably enough.

P.S. you've been waiting for mine, and I'm still waiting for your illustration to this story, my friend :)
